This Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plant Operations is a qualification for individuals who operate plant and machinery, specifically 360 Machines, on construction sites. This is a lifetime qualification achieved through on-site assessment. NO classes, NO exams, and NO time off work are required. You will be assessed in your actual work environment, allowing you to demonstrate your skills and knowledge practically.
This qualification will enable you to:
- Demonstrate and gain recognition for your skills, knowledge, and understanding as a Plant Operator.
- Gain industry recognition as a Skilled Worker.
Assessment Process:
- Registration: Upon enrollment, a dedicated assessor will be assigned to you.
- Site Visits: Your assessor will schedule site visits based on your work availability to observe your skills.
- Evidence Gathering: During these visits, your assessor will capture evidence through photos, videos, and recordings.
- Workbook: You will complete a workbook questionnaire containing knowledge questions about your role at your own pace over 6-8 weeks.
- Discussion: You will discuss with your assessor how you carry out your role.
Practical Observation on-site will include documenting tasks like:
- Safe start-up and shutdown, operation controls, maneuverability, ability to handle different types of loads safely and effectively.
- Conducting pre-shift inspections of the machine to identify any defects or safety hazards.
- Performing basic maintenance tasks, such as checking fluids, greasing components, and replacing filters.
